Recycling Division

What Is Recycling?
Recycling is a process where materials  are diverted from the waste stream and put back to good use.

What Can We Recycle?
  • GLASS - All colors of glass containers except for GREEN.  Remove the lids and rinse out before placing them in the bin.  Paper labels need not be removed.

  • NEWSPAPER - Wet or dry newspaper and all inserts.  Stack beside or on top of your bin.

  • GLOSSY MAGAZINES

  • JUNK MAIL & MIXED PAPER

  • TELEPHONE DIRECTORIES

  • CARDBOARD - Cardboard boxes 2' X 3' or smaller and cereal/food boxes.  Must be flattened.

  • PLASTIC - Soft drink bottles and milk jugs as well as other plastic containers with 1 or 2 recycling symbols on the bottom.  Remove the lids and step on you plastic to save space.  Labels need not be removed.

  • CANS - All aluminum and steel cans from household.  Labels need not be removed.



WHEN SHOULD WE SET PUT OUR BIN?
Just set your full recycling bin by the road in front of your house by 7:00 am the same day of garbage service.
