Hey Kids! Learn your  STRANGER SMARTS!

           Chipper the Squirrel

Remember, a stranger is someone you do not know. It can be a pretty girl or young man.
Read below and remember to “Stay SAFE” and always be a good role model for younger kids.  Together, we can all learn to be
S.A.F.E.R.

Stranger Smart is a GOOD Start!

A stranger is someone you do not know.  A stranger may be a pretty girl or a handsome man.  Remember, not all strangers will look scary or different.

If a stranger asks you to go with them for a ride or to get into their car for directions, it is OK to says “NO”, run away and tell your mom or dad or an adult.

Sometimes strangers will offer children candy or pretend that they are looking for a lost puppy or kitten to get children to get into their cars. This is a trick! DO NOT get into a car with someone you do not know.  DO NOT get near a stranger’s car.

If a stranger tells you that your mom or dad sent them to pick you up, ask them for the secret code word.  This is a secret word that only you and your parents know and use in emergencies.  DO NOT tell anyone else your secret code word.

Now, take the quiz to test your Stranger SMARTS.

Remember to STAY SMART and Stay ALIVE!
