CM Yates

I graduated from Catawba College in 1975 with a Bachelor's degree in Health and Physical Education.

My wife Kay and I have been married 36 years. We have three children, Chad, age 31, Angie, age 26 and Renae, age 12. We also have one grandson (so far), Kendall Eli Sifford born on Christmas day 2007.

I have been employed by the City of Salisbury for three years. My job title is grounds maintenance supervisor for Parks and Recreation. It has been great working with my crew of Steve Copley, Jim Broughton and Daniel Payne as well as the rest of the Parks and Recreation staff--they are a great bunch! My crew maintains 127 acres of parks around the city. One of the neatest things is getting to maintain the Sports Complex. I played ball there in my teen years and now I get to help maintain the grounds that I once played on.
