Salisbury,
England Visits Salisbury, North Carolina
During May
10-15, 2001, the mayor and city councilors from
Salisbury, England visited Salisbury, NC to visit our
city and to sign a joint agreement proclaiming sister
city status between the two Salisburys.
This camera system is maintained by
the North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT).
Per
request of the Salisbury Police Department, the live
dispatch web stream has been discontinued due to
concerns of officer safety. Citizens can still
monitor dispatch communications by using a scanner.

The Movies of Salisbury were
originally taken by H. Lee Waters in 1940 & 1942 and have been once again
made available to the public through the efforts of Ray Paradowski and
National Starch and Chemical Company. The video is just over 50
minutes in length, so it has been split into 4 parts for web viewing.
A broadband connection is HIGHLY recommended in order to properly view this
video. The Rowan Public Library has several copies of this video available for
checkout on VHS.
