The Historic Preservation Commission is responsible for receiving and approving certificates of appropriateness for structures within local historic districts as well as recommending to the City Council areas to be designated by ordinance as local historic districts.

2008-2009 Meeting Schedule

The City of Salisbury Historic Preservation Commission meets the second Thursday of each month at 5:15 PM in the City Hall Council Chamber, 217 South Main Street. The deadline for getting applications in in order get on the following month's HPC agenda is always the 25th of the previous month. For instance, in order to be heard at the April HPC meeting, the applicant would need to turn in his or her Certificate of Appropriateness form by March 25th.
