West End Neighborhood
| The West End Neighborhood has a large population of minorities and is anchored by historically black and private Livingstone College. Salisbury City Council, with input from neighborhood leadership, revised the Community Development Block Grant budget to accommodate a major renovation of an existing building that will be used for office space, business development and a neighborhood community facility. This building, currently under construction, is located at 1400 West Bank Street adjacent to the Miller Center. The project has been named the Salisbury West Business and Community Center. |

| The City has also completed the construction of two new homes at 618 and 620 West Horah Street during the past fiscal year. These homes were marketed and sold to first-time homebuyers. | |
