On December 7, 2004, following a public hearing on skateboarding in the
downtown area, the City Council directed city staff to identify a select
number of solutions. What did we recognize first and foremost? We
cannot determine the best solution or course of action alone. We knew
that in order to develop the best solution, a company of affected
individuals needs to work together to Solve It! Those invited include
skateboarding enthusiasts, business owners, church leaders, parents,
students, YMCA leaders and city staff. This inaugural Solve It! program
will kick off at 9 AM on Thursday, April 14th at Salisbury City Hall,
217 South Main Street. A light breakfast will be provided from 8:30 to
9:00 and a hotdog lunch will be served afterwards.
