7.     Council to receive the Trailblazer Award from Budget and Benchmarking Analyst Evans
        Ballard on behalf of the National Center for Civic Innovation.

8.     Mayor to proclaim the following observance:

                    A DAY OF THE ARTS June 16, 2007

9.     Council to consider the CONSENT AGENDA:

        (a)     Approve the Minutes of the regular meeting of May 15, 2007 and recessed
                 meetings of May 21, 2007, May 22, 2007, and May 31, 2007.

 

        (b)     Adopt a budget Ordinance amendment to the FY2006-2007 budget in the amount
                 of $191,000 to appropriate CDBG and HOME Program funds.

 

        (c)     Adopt a budget Ordinance amendment to the FY2006-2007 budget in the amount
                 of $1,100 to appropriate donations for the Police Department.

 

        (d)     Approve group development site plan G-02-02 Ashton Manor, 200 block Sunset
                 Drive.

 

10.   Council to consider zoning map amendment Z-04-07, Cedar Springs Road, Circle M
        Drive, and Dollie Circle:

 

        (a)     Receive a presentation from staff regarding Planning Board recommendation
        (b)     Hold a public hearing
        (c)     Issue Statement of Consistency and Statement of Reasonableness and consider
                 adopting an ORDINANCE to amend the official zoning map.

11.   Council to consider adopting an ORDINANCE amending Chapter 13 of the Code of the
        City of Salisbury relating to parking lots:

 

        (a)     Receive a report from staff
        (b)     Hold a public hearing
        (c)     Consider adopting an ORDINANCE amending Chapter 13 of the Code of the
                 City of Salisbury relating to parking lots.

 

12.   Council to consider closing the 100 block of East Liberty Street from Waterworks Visual
        Arts Center to the intersection of Liberty and Lee Street Saturday, March 29, 2008 from
        4:00 p.m. until 2:00 a.m. for purposes of catering a wedding reception.

 

13.   Council to consider adopting a RESOLUTION authorizing the Mayor and City Clerk to
        execute a supplemental enhancement agreement and corresponding contract and change
        orders within the budgeted amount with Summit Developers for the project known as
        Salisbury South Square Streetscape Improvement Project.

 

14.   Council to receive a petition and consider adopting an ORDINANCE to allow parking in
        the 400 block of North Lee Street.

 

15.   Council to receive an update from staff regarding a parking restriction in the 700 and 800
        blocks of West Kerr Street.

16.   Council to receive an update regarding the Alcoa relicensing process.

17.   Council to consider an appointment to the Community Appearance Commission.

18.   Council to receive comments from the City Manager:

        (a)     Planning Board recommendations and comments from their May 22, 2007
                 meeting.
        (b)    Other matters.

19.   Mayor’s Announcements.

        (a)     The City of Salisbury will host “Salisbury-Rowan United: Creating an Action
                 Agenda for a Safer Community and a Positive Future for Our Youth”
                 Thursday, June 14, 2007 at 6:30 p.m. at the Salisbury Civic Center, 315 South
                 Boundary Street.

 

        (b)     The Salisbury Parks and Recreation Department will host the annual Kid’s All
                 American Fishing Derby Saturday, June 16, 2007 from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00
                 Noon at the Salisbury Community Park Lake. All children ages 5 – 16 years of
                 age may participate.

        (c)     Other announcements.

20.   Council to go into closed session regarding acquisition of property located at 329 Main
        Street as allowed by NCGS 143-318.11(5) and to consult with an attorney as allowed by
        NCGS 143-318.11(3).

21.   Adjournment.
