Salisbury Fire becomes the first Permanent Child Passenger safety seat checking station in Rowan County!

The Salisbury Fire Department announces a Permanent Child Safety Seat Checking Station. This checking station  started on September 16, 2005

        The checking station clinic will be every Friday from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM

at 514 East Innes St., Salisbury Fire Station 51 across from the Wendy’s restaurant.

        Pull in at the back of the station parking lot off of East Council St.

        Please have the child with you for the check.

This permanent child safety seat checking station provides: 

•         A permanent location for parents/caregivers to be educated about child passenger safety (CPS)

•         Child restraints checked to insure they are installed & used correctly. 

•         Educational source for the community.        

The funding of this program was from the North Carolina Department of Insurance/Office of State Fire Marshal and the North Carolina Governor’s Highway Safety Program
