Single Family house fire 12-22-2005

Salisbury Fire Department responded to a reported structure fire at 142 Stoneybrook Rd. in the Stoneybrook Subdivision off Airport Rd.  Upon arrival crews found a large fire in a single family residence.  All occupants were out of the structure upon our arrival.  The fire had consumed approximately one half of the residence.  Crews made an attack knocking down the main fire.  They then entered to search the residence to confirm that all occupants were out.  Salisbury was assisted by Locke Fire Department, Rowan Rescue Squad and Salisbury Police.  The structure was a total loss.  The fire is under investigation which appears to be accidental.  No injuries were reported.  The Red Cross responded and is assisting the family with lodging.

A family of 3 were displaced.

South Salisbury and Granite Quarry Fire Departments provided additional coverage to Salisbury during the incident.
