October 5, 2006. “C” shift went to install a smoke detector on West Colonial St. They discovered that the residents had a heat detector that had activated but they did not have a key to rewind and reset it. They were unable to find a telephone number on the detection system but found a manufacturer name and called Tammy to research it on the internet. Tammy sorted through nearly 25 numbers before finding the information needed and called back to the residence with the information. Captain Thompson nominated Tammy for her assistance above and beyond, and also gave credit for all the other things she does for the members of our department.
