December 22, 2006. "C" Shift was dispatched to a smoke in the structure call. The investigation found that an electrical cord had shorted out. The companies that were investigating the source were Rescue 1 and Quint 3. After the other companies were released, these two companies under the direction of Quint 3 Captain Mark Thompson, remained on the scene and performed some other tasks. They helped the occupant with re-lighting her water heater, setting some clocks, and other small items. The guys saw that with Christmas approaching, she didn’t appear to have much family and found out that she had a daughter that had passed away.

These guys saw an opportunity and seized the moment.  Congratulations for a job well done!
