​The City of Salisbury Stormwater Utility provides the following services in regard to stormwater management within City limits:

Administration and Engineering - Oversees the City’s public education and outreach, public involvement and participation, illicit discharge detection and elimination, coordinates with Rowan County’s construction site runoff control, post construction site runoff control, pollution prevention and provides good housekeeping measures for municipal operation programs to improve stromwater quality and comply with Federal and State regulations. In addition the Stormwater Utility ensures compliance with Federal and State total maximum daily load allocations to impaired waterways located inside the City.      
Storm Drainage - Coordinates a maintenance program to clean, construct and repair culverts, catch basins and related drainage structures on a regular maintenance schedule to ensure effective and efficient run-off of rain water to minimize local flooding.

Street Cleaning - Facilitates the routines sweeping, washing and removal of debris from streets to prevent sedimentation of drainage structures and prevent unsafe conditions. This includes the cleaning of downtown sidewalks, streets and city owned parking facilities to provide aesthetic enhancements to public properties.
Leaf Collection - Provide leaf collection services during the fall and winter months via a curbside lose leaf collection, a minimum of every three weeks, on a rotating schedule.
