Community Planning Services
The Community Planning Services Department manages the day-to-day and long-range growth and development of the City of Salisbury. Under the direction of the City Manager, the department coordinates projects with different City Departments, Citizens Boards and Commissions and other public and private agencies to ensure that our City remains a healthy and vibrant community with a high quality of life for its citizens.
Made up of three different divisions, the Community Planning Services Department handles everyday planning functions such as enforcing the City's land development ordinances coordinating neighborhood rehabilitation and promoting historic preservation--just to name a few. We also accomplish certain long-range planning projects such as the Salisbury Bicycle Plan and the Salisbury Vision 2020 Comprehensive Plan.
